Welcome to the WFP Committee of Denver's profile page! Recently formed, the WFP Committee of Denver currently consists of four dedicated individuals working to raise funds and awareness about global hunger and the World Food Program. We will be constantly recruiting for volunteers to aid us in our cause, and would love to hear from you! Name: The Wailers Concert
Where: The Ogden Theater, Denver, Colo.
When: Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:00pm
Description: The Wailers have been extremely active in getting support from musicians and music lovers through their "I Went Hungry" campaign (www.iwenthungry.org). All donations from their campaign go straight to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) to support hungry people worldwide. The Wailers have asked our committee to help raise awareness at the concert, and the music is going to be great -- so don't miss it! For those of you who don't mind a little drive, they are also playing in Boulder at the Fox Theater on Saturday, January 16th, and there will be information available about how you can participate in the fight against hunger.
