Ways to Give

Donate Online
Use our online donation form to make a gift using your Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover card. You may also use a debit card. In addition, we accept gifts from PayPal and by electronic check.

Create Your Own Online Campaign
Friends Ending Hunger
You can create your own online fundraising campaign using Friends Ending Hunger, an online tool that allows you to get your friends, family, coworkers and classmates involved in the effort to end hunger. Create your own campaign with your own webpage and ask all of your friends to join just by sending an email. Anyone you invite can visit your webpage and make a secure, online donation. You can keep track of how much money you’ve raised, thank your supporters and post updates and photos.

Become a Volunteer
You can become a volunteer for Friends of WFP. Learn more about ways you can use your time and energy to help end hunger.

Honor Someone Special
To make a tribute donation, use our online tribute and memorial form or mail your check to Friends of WFP. Please be sure to include an email or mailing address for the person being honored if you would like him to receive notification of your donation.

Make a Monthly Gift
You can make a monthly donation through your credit card or bank account every month. Your initial donation will be charged on the day the pledge is made, and future donations will be automatically charged to your credit card on that same day of each month thereafter.

Each month, you will receive an email receipt for your donation for that period. To cancel your monthly donation at any time, please call the Development Department at (202) 530-1694 or email info@friendsofwfp.org.

Send an E-Card
With the purchase of a item from the Gift Menu you can help the hungry and send a personalized e-card, with artwork designed by students in WFP’s school meal programs, to the gift recipient.

Stock Donations
Stock donations can be made by electronic transfer or physical certificate delivery. For more information or for transfer instructions, please contact us at info@friendsofwfp.org or (202) 530-1694.

Company Matching Gifts
Many companies offer matching gift programs that can multiply the impact of your donation. To find out whether your company matches your charitable contributions, check with your human resources department.

Many companies also match volunteer hours or gifts from spouses, retirees and board members. If your company does not currently match employee donations, ask if this is possible. Together, you and your employer can help break the cycle of poverty and hunger in some of the world’s poorest countries.

In-Kind Donations
We appreciate all efforts to provide support to Friends of WFP; however, monetary donations allow for the fastest, most effective delivery of food to those in need. Because of the enormous quantities of food needed, WFP generally works only with very large quantities of bulk food. Money is also needed to cover the costs of shipping, storage, and distribution to WFP countries. WFP is also committed to local purchase whenever possible. Therefore, we cannot accept food donations. If your organization is interested in contributing large amounts of food or other supplies, please contact us.

Planned giving is a powerful way to make a lasting difference in the lives of people facing chronic hunger and poverty, while also advancing personal financial goals. You can make a planned gift today and help WFP deliver life-saving food now and into the future.
