U.S. Food Assistance Programs

U.S. Food Assistance Programs

U.S. food assistance programs provide critical resources to WFP’s life-saving operations around the world. In recent years, the primary U.S. food assistance program – under legislation P.L. 480 Title II – provided more than $1 billion per year to WFP operations, including those in Afghanistan, Ethiopia and Indonesia. Friends of WFP and its partner organizations advocate for increases in U.S. food assistance resources to help those feeling the impact of humanitarian crises around the world.
